Four ways to fix a bad hair day...

If you have ever gotten up late after having a big night out and was supposed to be at a family lunch half an hour ago and your hair looks awful (happened to me on Sunday) or if you are spending half your morning trying to make your hair look respectable because your in between colour treatments..(Which is definately me at the moment) then you should take a look at my four hair quick fixes...now im not claiming to be an expert in all matters relating to hair but after my weekend of hair disasters i decided to share a few tips (with very scientific and well thought out names) on how i try and keep my hair vintage inspired but easy and quick with second day semi still curled hair...

Photobucket
This is the first look i attempt if im rushing out the door...
* Make a middle part and do a very thorough brush to get all the curls soft
* Apply a little bit of Hair Serum work it through to get rid of some fly aways
* And finally a hair pin to secure your fringe a little if its dropping into your face
Use your fingertips to scrunch your curls a little to add volume and thats it!!

This is very quick and pretty adorable..
* Make a side part and use hair tongs to add a little height to your fringe use hairspray..
* Take the side that dosen't have the fringe and pull it back (from your ear to the top of your head and pin it at the back making sure you push it forward creating some height and keeping the movement of the curl, you can also make a little pin curl here as well)
*push your loose hair to the side without your fringe and secure it at the back with a pin if needed.
*Gather your fringe and pin to the side if needed still keeping the height (This look also helps to disguise re-growth too)

This is my favourite quick fix for frustrating hair it looks so cute.
*Do a middle part on your hair
* Start at the top and gather and twist your hair on one side by adding pieces of your hair until its at the base of your head, use a clip to secure until your other side is done.
* Gather and twist the other side of your hair and use a hair elastic to hold the two pieces.
*Make a bun with your remaining hair and even add a hair bow or flower.
*Cute right??

If all else fails...
Simply go for the headscarf, it disguises re-growth, second day hair and is perfect for a lazy day just gather your hair in a bun or messy plait and use the scarf to make a cute bow on top!! I was going to do a video showing you exactly how i did it but after playing back my voice i decided not to haha i never like the way i sound on those things (but i guess no one really does)
I hope your having a swell week and if your struggling with your hair a smidge that these up do's help a little.
I'll be back tomorrow with a shop update XX

LOVE this post, Ally! Soo helpful. I've never good at doing any updos when my hair isn't at it's best, but I'll definitely have to try these!
