DIY Christmas!

Photobucket

This Christmas i have decided i want to take on a few DIY projects, normally i am so rushed around this time of year i dont take time to really get into the handmade side of things! This is going to change my friends!!

I thought i would share with you my top four DIY's that i will be tackling in the next week or so.

Whipperberry posted an adorable Snow Globe how-to which i am completely in love with especially since they are in mason jars!! I think i will add a few forest creatures (plastic ones..dont get too excited there)to mine and jumble them all together..Love! Photobucket
I have lots of fond memories when i was younger stamping paper for presents with potatoes! My mother would get so tired of the constant whinging my sister and i would put her through during the holidays she would sit us down and let us go for it, it was always a win win since she would get crafted paper and we would be quiet for about an hour or so! I think this celery stamp idea is perfect..so perfect i cant belive i didnt think of this myself!! Geninne's Art Blog will give you a quick step by step on making it!

I desperately want to make these sprinkle filled baubles even though i am having visions of dropping one and forever finding sprinkles scattered through the house i am determined that i wont let my clumsiness get the better of me (better use a funnel) i mean come on! How cute are these?
DIY instructions can be found at the Little Gray Fox & Little Foto Fox Blog
PhotobucketThis by far is going to be the DIY that is going to test my patience but i am so looking forward to getting stuck into it! Our front door already has a wreath but i want to make a special one to replace it! im going to weave tiny red baubles through it too (just a few) fingers crossed it turns out as pretty as this one! Easy Peasy DIY tutorial for the wreath below is HERE

  1. These are fantastic! We just finished a fabric scrap wreath and some other crafty things (I posted about a few on my blog) with my kids. We had so much fun and our house looks so festive now. I wish I had seen the paper wreath though...We might have to do that next year.

  2. Such fantastic ideas! My friends and I just made some Christmas ornaments for some people at church and we did similar things to the sprinkle idea, but using paint and glitter. But the one that got the coolest, and was surprisingly easy, was putting some tinsel in it. Thanks for the inspiration!
