I just wanted to introduce to you the next addition to my little apartment! The most delightful 1950's formica kitchen table and chairs. I had been on the search for awhile now, and since i wanted something in great condition, only a four seater and not at a crazy price i waited..and waited!

The most kind faced gentleman with the sweetest grin dropped it off to me and said it was the table he had as a young boy in his mothers kitchen, he had alot of happy memories around that table and i promised him that i would take great care of it and surround it with friends and much love to continue the happy memories.

My little apartment is slowly coming together and i love that all the items in my place have their own story, i know where it came from the travels they have endured and how much joy they would have brought to their provious owners. Sometimes having brand new things are a fresh slate to start your own story about how they mesh with your life but i prefer to surround myself with an abundance of history..i feel i almost have a responsibilty to care for them and ensure their story continues...and so on..and so on!

  7. What a great table and chairs! I love your philosophy on carrying on the story of your furniture. I feel that way about my thrift store clothes.

  8. I really love this philosophy and I couldn't agree more, I think it's a very romantic and poetic thing to know something's (and of course someone's) history...it's also a source of inspiration for me... <3
