Floating on Sequins...
I dont even know where to begin telling you much of a relaxing long weekend i had, after tackling a few projects including framing my 1930's player cards i showed you a few weeks ago and catching up on some reading i really began to appreciate how much an extra day off really helps (especially when i push housework to the very last min) living by myself has its perks i can walk around with unbrushed hair, leave my dishes in the sink and eat cereal on the couch while watching my terrible rom-coms! It can however get a little lonely so i am always trying to make a concious effort to always go out otherwise i am going to turn into the crazy lady in the apartment block who collects succulents and names her sea monkeys!
When i was looking for a dress to wear to the Voices of 2013 launch party i also bought this adorable sequined 1950's dress from Lucy in Disguise, i still havent had the chance to wear it out for cocktails but lounging around on my antique mustard seat will have to suffice for now! I am usually not a huge sequin's fan but the royal blue colour had my heart sold and the cut is pretty amazing!
The rest of my weekend consisted of Mexican and tequila at La Cholita who basically have the best fish tacos going around, walks around Kings Park with coffee as a reward (i need rewards for excercise) and watching American Pickers until i fell asleep on the couch! Bliss!!
Have a swell day Xx
