A lot of the time when im op shopping i come across clothes i find a little off putting but for some reason i cant leave without it... its sort of an ugly but interesting thing!!!! either i end up wearing them or they just sit in my wardrobe for a day im feeling particularly adventurous.. This vintage bohemian style skirt caught my eye with the crazy colourful print but i wasnt sure what i loved about it....
After trying it on with multiple tops im so glad i ended up taking it its the perfect length (since im so tall its hard to find floor length skirts that fit me properly) and the velvet gives you an automatic loose loungy feel too...
I hope your all having a fab Thursday so far after a gruelling Boot Camp class this morning i can barely walk and all i can think about is the San Churro's double chocolate brownies..yum!!!!
Ohh Also on the way to work today i quickly looked into Elizabeth's Bookstore and found two 1930's copies of Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights they are going to be joining my little book collection ive got going on soon im going to need a seperate room for them all (slight exaggeration haha) i enjoy reading vintage books so much more i just feel like there is a lot more love in the book since its been read by who knows how many people, crammed into lots of bags and taken on many a picnic... i always imagine who would have made the marks on the pages or accidentally dog eared a page..
Im also thinking about popping this skirt into the shop soon so ill let you know when its in...

Oh my, that skirt is gorgeous. Adore the colours. I think you should have included a closeup of those rings ;) I'm intrigued. They look beautiful. Chunky rings are an obsession of mine :)
ReplyDeleteYou're definitely rocking that skirt! I hear ya on the ugly-but-interesting thing. That's why I hardly ever go op-shopping with friends - they're more likely to convince me things are ugly and give me the "soph, step away from the Dynasty-style sea green leather tuxedo jacket" look. Ok... maybe that one was erring on the side of ugly haha
ReplyDeletethe pattern and colours in that skirt are really striking! it's not something i would immediately gravitate to if i saw it in an opshop but you really make it work :) love your style! following ;)
