Mulberry Lane...

Frida Gustavsson for swedish Elle is my ultimate inspiration for Autumn not only is she disturbingly beautiful!! but the crushed mulberry lipstick and oversized scalloped edge collars are making it a little hard to live without! (DIY???)

Adding to my list of to do's for the season these photos are encouraging me to give my hot rollers another chance! hopefully singed fingers wont ensue!

Regal Red...

Huzzah!!! my first outfit post at the new house, i have found a few sneaky spots to take a few pics and play with my props like i usually do and i think this new house and me are gonna be allllright! things are pretty amazing at the moment ive moved in with my man, i have a brand spanking new office to work from and im super motivated to start getting new vintage pieces into my shop.









I spent the weekend watching rom/coms on my laptop, fixing a vintage pastel pink dress, eating ice-cream in bed and patiently waiting for the leaves to change colour. As i am on an extreme budget at the moment im longingly looking at all the amazing jackets for Autumn and dreaming up outfits to wear it with but instead of buying them im trying to get crafty with what i already have! (i am allowing myself new stockings though...woo hoo for splashing out)

I can dream...

When i was growing up i always had an infatuation with the 40's and 50's and...sometimes the 60's (ok ok u get the picture) which all stemmed from my grandfather who was an avid record collector i grew up listening to Ella Fitzgerald, Chubby checker and would spend the afternoons on his farm jumping around the living room to "twist again" so of course the music you listened to influences your style and ultimately shapes you into who you are today!

So if i have anyone to point the finger at for my obsessive op shopping, hoarding of shiny objects, love of vintage cars and record players & vintage clothes it would be my grandfather so thanks pops! its the thing i love most about me and im glad he was a part in making me realise how much i love it.

This however is not a post in ode to him it is for me to show you this picture.....take a moment stare at it and imagine you are sitting on that stripy pink chair on the balcony sipping on lemonade and planning your next road trip in your amazing car! Perfection!!.....it is on my list! trust me!! so if you see me one day driving past in a convertible chevvy, aqua with white interior (ive had time to dream about this car) i have either stolen it (won lotto) or ill be about 70 years old! but im sure i can have some things on my wish list that are simply dreams!

I feel like im visiting an old friend! a whole week without blogging!!!! oh my...the truth is i couldn't have blogged even if i desperately had to, no internet connection in the new house yet and the fact that all my clothes have been in boxes means i have been living a less than glamourous life lately.

We made the decision to paint the entire house before we moved in (which sounded like such a good idea at the time) and to a no idea nancy it seemed really easy..just buy paint right? and brush it on! like painting a canvas? uhhh...no! Thankfully my partners dad is superman at painting and basically did the house for us probably because it was painful for him to watch me push the roller all over the wall in a random fashion, i have a few before and after pictures ill share with you when the house becomes a little more like a human living space than a place where boxes go to die.

So in my mind painting was going to be a blast wearing a pretty dress perched on top of paint tins and balancing oh so delicately off ladders while the wall basically paints itself! (kidding)





Instead i made friends with my comfy target flats, was ok about not washing my hair for a week or so, gave up on hoping my nails would survive and enjoyed getting a little dirty!





Owning a house has been alot of hard work so far but im loving it! im so excited to have a place of our own!
Posting will now resume and i can get back to regular medium paced life huzzah!
