Lazy Autumn Weekends

Well id have to say my weekend was the laziest ever on record.. i didnt even touch my washing (sshh) and spent it in the sun instead..we had rain all week and then sun all weekend yay!!! so i went down to my favourite park, read my book and people watched.. it made me wish i had a puppy seeing everyone walking their dogs..so cute!! my outfits were just comfy pieces..my checkered pants (perfect for park dwelling) comfy sneakers and when it got a little chilly i brought out my purple gloves. My friend brought them back for me when she went to Poland..and havent had the chance to wear them yet...and what to wear them with i had no idea either!!! but i love the colour clash with the blue blazer....

Inspire me Friday...

Gee Choon Hee 2009 collection, an oldie but a goodie i love her use of colours in this collection i always wear bright colours and feel a bit drab without just a teeny splash of colour somewhere. after seeing her range i instantly went on the hunt for a two piece skirt suit and how adorable are the socks and shoes!!!







Lena Hoschek im sure you all know her collection she showed at the Mercede's Benz fashion week and im not the first or the last to post about it either.. i cant even being to describe how much her work inspires me..its everything i love rolled into one, the hair, the tailoring and accesories.. makes me want to have another attempt at rolling my hair..(im terrible at it)

Minna Parikka gloves they are to die for.. they also come with a little bow version as well, although they are a little bit out of my price range im on the hunt for a similar pair in Australia fingers crossed i find some..


When i saw these Vivienne Westwood for Melissa boots i knew i had to have them Melissa was the company responsible for the first jelly shoe in the 1970's and although i was never a massive fan of those shoes..im saving my pennies for these beauties..im already thinking of all the puddles i can jump in!!!

Well i thought id put one of my favourite songs on this post for you..not only is Billy Holiday one of my all time fav's this song always perks me up if im having a blue day..

Ok so i apologise for the crinkled shirt ahhhhhhhh, i was so annoyed my iron wasnt working properly and i thought i could get away with it..clearly judging by the photos i walked around all day like my mother brought me up wrong..or i just slept in my clothes to save time getting ready in the morning ha-ha...getting into this skirt was a bit of a mission too!! i think i was a little bit deluded when i bought it at the thrift shop i though hmm its a tad too small but i should be able to squeeze into it!!! well after alot of jumping around sucking everything in and a coathanger handle later..it did fit.. i couldnt sit down though!!! (i think i learned my lesson)

This week is flying by, work has been a little bit manic and ive been trying to fit in as much excericise as i can before Bali... im looking forward to a semi quiet weekend and to finish off my book Of Mice and Men (John Steinbeck) Have any of you read it??? im loving it so far...

So i found my bowtie at the vintage shop it actually has so many uses, hairbow, bracelet or bowtie!! and ive worn it so many times i love it..so if you ever see a cute bowtie make sure you grab it and not pass it by because you dont wear bowties...!!!

I am doing an etsy update this week ( i know i havent done one in ages) so keep checking in to grab some goodies!!!

Well the engagement party was a success, the cake was perfect and i didnt burn the house down woohoo everything ran smoothly and there was tons and tons of food (and champagne) my gorgeous sister looked stunning and there was just so much happiness and love in the room!!!! but im super exhausted now i feel like a walking zombie and i cant wait to get to bed early tonight (yawn) i might not ever wake up again!!

I thought id post a few pics of what i wore to the party..i have posted about this dress before but i love it.. super comfy and it was perfect to do all the running around in.. the buttons are adorable too!! and there are all these little birds all over it!!! i hope you can see them a little in thye pictures...i found it thrifting a few years ago which of course is the story behind most of my clothes but i always loved the fact i got this for only $2 got to love a bargain.

It was raining and storming for most of the day so i kept throwing on my little trench coat i have always wished it was a little bit longer just to cover the dress a bit better..but what can you do!!! and i added the belt in just to stop my jacket from flopping into all the food..

Snippets and thoughts

Here are a few snippets from my day...not so fashion related but i have been so flat out organising this engagement party i havent had much time to upload a few outfits..but i promise all that will change next week..i have so many new pieces to show you all..

(for all you lovely peeps who saw my previous post..which i deleted, i had an attack of the self-concious... it was a few photos of a pin up shoot i did a few test shots for..i think i was a little too overly confident when writing about the post and then panicked... :) sorrrrry for posting and deleting :)

Its definately Autumn..the leaves are so amazing at the moment i just want to roll around in them all day ha-ha it Bucketed down all day today.... (sigh) thank goodness for fluffy pyjamas and good wine

Oh my stars

This dress im completely in love with at the moment i bought it last week and immediately took the sleeves up (they were extremely long) it is a little big for me too, but nothing that a belt cant fix!!! the tubing is such a cute feature and i have been looking for a nice blazer dress lately..im having no luck though..this is going to have to be as close as it gets for me until i find one...

Im not lying but the first time i heard this song (oh my stars) i cried..thats right blubbered all over the place..it really is such a beautiful song!!!! ok ok ill admit it..i kinda tear up everytime i hear it...whatever...im a baby..ill admit it ha-ha



I had the most hilarious day today i love it when your days are filled with giggles instead of stress.. although i have been running around organising things for my sister's engagement party this Sunday which im hosting at my house..(a tad stressful) so my hours have been filled making Love banners finding the best chocolate cake recipe and wondering if i have enough champagne for 30 of my family members..ahhhh ha-ha its the first family party i have hosted so the pressure is on... i think my mum is panicking though she keeps saying "are you sure you want to BAKE the cake" "remember last time what happened when you tried to cook a cake" ha-ha but im determined to make a cracker of a cake...no burning (fingers crossed..and toes)

Three things that made me giggle today!!

1 - Passing a car completely handpainted with butterflies (that had have a beautiful day written on a piece of paper in the window) so cute..i wanted to follow it around all day!!

2 - Having a in depth discussion about toothbrushes in the supermarket with complete strangers I mean Medium or Hard...haha it was so funny this guy was so clueless he actually asked me which one to buy!!!

3 - Driving home i saw a man wearing a suit that matched his scooter EXACTLY...the same colour and everything... he looked like a cute beige blob driving around haha

So now im off to read some Tennyson....

And drink some Pear tea...

Cherry Bomb

I had such a blast this weekend although i didn't get as many outfit pics as i would have liked so i thought id do an oufit post too :) i have been waiting to upload a pic of this gorgeous skirt its become almost a staple item in my closet and especially since its almost winter im taming my outfits down to neutral colours and pops of reds and greens..

After a long roadtrip down to bunbury i was ready to boogie on down, it did rain and it was super freezing..but Spoon were AMAZING..and so was Vampire Weekend!!! i had such an awesome time and it was good to get all my girls together to dance the night away.. the fashion was a little bit conservative everyone was wearing cute hats and jumpers and stockings.. and all the hours i put into my hair soon went out the window when the pour down started..but thats okay :)

I hope you all had a super weekend, im still exhausted (showing my age a little) ha-ha im off to have some dinner and an early night

Inspire Me Friday..

This could mayb...one day be my wedding dress, (one day ha-ha) mayb not with that high of a neckline but all the same my heart skipped a beat a little when i saw it.. Im starting a sewing course soon (im super excited) i cant wait to be whipping up cute vintage dresses like these three.. (and probably stuffing up a few on the way) but i think it will definatley be worth it!!! its something ive always had an urge to do!!!!

The very last black and white image gets me everytime i look at it, her hat is adorable and she looks incredibly perfect even down to the weary look on her face.. i always look at black and white images and imagine what colours their clothes actually are..hmmm im thinking shes wearing a bright red hat a camel coloured coat and cream cotton gloves (sigh)

Kennedy Holmes before i started this blog i would always browse the pages in her blog and drool over her many amazing hats and outfits she has such a classic style..i think she actually motivated me a little to start blogging really.. i just wish i could find vintage shoes that actually fit me, hers are so (sigh) amazing... and she also sells her awesome vintage finds on her etsy too.

I found this gorgeous girl on Chictopia she had me sold on this outfit (makes me long for summer again) i mean perfection red heels and yellow shorts!!! all of her outfits are flawless if you dont believe me check it out for yourself!! this is her blog its a definate read..

Another Australian girl i love Esme, she shares my love of fitted pencil skirts and fine details from her range of gorgeous red shoes to her perfectly applied red lipstick i always get a little mad when i read her blog because she always makes me want to go out and shop right away..and i cant ..because the bank wont let me :( i always follow her because we have the same seasons.. and she always makes me think ohhhhhh i wouldnt have thought to wear it that way...

Helmi is honestly is one of my biggest style inspirations she has the most to die for collection of trench coats and jackets and if you live in the colder parts of the world (i.e-snow) check her out she makes freezing your butt off look extremely stylish!!!! her blog does need translation but i always stop in to check out her pictures and wish i could emulate her outfits!!
