(sigh) another rainy day today... i dont mind rain as long as it isnt on weekends!!!!

I spent the morning thrift shopping and found a few beautiful head scarves and a couple of belts too..i dont think i ever leave a second hand shop without something!!! haha (terrible for the wallet as i basically shop every day at one)

Im going to dinner with the girls tonight and a big family gathering tomorrow!! so im soaking up the relaxing moments.. i cant decide which movie to watch.... Step Brothers or Donnie Darko...hmmmmmm suggestions???????

I love my camel coloured trench coat i found it thrifting not long ago..just in time for Autumn, i used to have a shorter one but couldnt stand that my dresses would always be a little longer than the actual coat, it drove me mad!!! i love the (imposter) burberry material on the inside too.. ok for $20!!!!!! :)

XX have a fab weekend everyone!!

Welcome to the very first edition of the I adore series.
For sometime now I have been asked by a few lovely followers where I get my vintage finds from!! And since it is no secret I find a lot of my pieces from goodwill shops I also have a group of my favourite vintage shops around Perth where I go when im looking for something extra special I have decided to make a little series out of it to share my favourite shops and boutiques I adore.

I would have to say when this gorgeous little boutique opened up down the street from where I work last year I didn’t think it would spark a bit of an obsession.. I actually came across it by accident walking to the supermarket and the first thing I saw was all these amazing dresses hung in the window and that was it I was in love.

Not only is it the cutest little shop but the selection of pieces is amazing, i cant actually remember not walking out with something that has completely made my day!!!

Erina, the lovely owner of Lucy in Disguise sources all her pieces from all around Australia everything from vintage dresses with immaculate beading and embroidery to,

They even have a fancy dress hire section too…
So if any of you ladies live in the perth suburb's please do yourself a favour and take a trip to Lucy in disguise you never know what you might find!!!

(A big thankyou to Erina for letting me run around her shop like a madman pulling out pieces to photograph haha)

I hope you have all enjoyed this post, there will be an I adore edition every month so keep a look out for them..

So my hair has been freshly chopped and coloured and i feel like a new woman, although after walking out of the salon extremely annoyed it ended up costing me more than i thought..i didnt end up going to the We Heart Vintage market because the thought of being around so many amazing things and not being able to buy anything would annoy me more than my hair (devistated)!!! so instead i went outside and took a few little pics while the sheets dried on the line :)

Im excited to not do too much this anzac weekend, i have tomorrow off as well and i am planning to enjoy this short spurt of sunshine and finish off my book...i went out with the girls last night for a few wines and at about 12pm we were at home watching sex and the city and baking anzac cookies..i couldnt help but laugh at how old we are becoming...and how much more i appreciate just chilling with them instead of being out in the freezing cold while average men oogle at you!!! (i really am getting old)....

I found this gorgeous pink silk top while thrifting i have quite a collection of floaty silk tops they just instantly make you feel feminine and pretty..even if your having a blah day!!! im off to eat ANOTHER anzac cookie!!!

I found this a m a z i n g striped skirt while thrifting the other day (thats right i found it at a thrift shop) and although it was a little bit more than i would usually pay (for something from a thrift shop anyway) i just fell in love with it... the ladies at the shop were putting all their new stock out and i was standing to pay at the register, i saw her put this skirt on a rack and think i almost broke my neck running to it.. i literally ran haha but it fits like a glove and i almost feel like a 1950's umpire or something..i need a whistle!!!

I have a hug anzac weekend planned as well as trying to make it to the dawn service on Sunday im getting my hair done (yahoo about time) attending the we heart vintage market and making some new headbands!!! ahhh i love long weekends.. i think im going to try and fit in a little photoshoot too...

If anyone is wondering about the drum im standing on??? my grandad made it for me when i was little to store all my teddies and toys in..now it stores my art supplies :) but its still in amazing condition and its one of my fav pieces in my room!!!

So i hope you all enjoy your weekend i know i am going to!! i will be posting over the weekend too so dont worry :) XX

I don’t actually think ive ever been a big hat person, ive usually stuck to headbands. But this autumn ive been catching myself on the lookout for them, what is going on??
I actually have a feeling its because of my fringe!! Weirdly enough..because im a fairly lazy person when it comes to my hair after I have it coloured im good with it for about 2 weeks and then I start putting it in a bun or pinning it back, so going and getting a fringe was a bit of a joke to my friends because its just an added thing to do in the morning (what can I say I like to sleep in)

I was thrifting last week and went up to the counter to pay and this gorgeous little red cap was sitting there all lonely, and I instantly wanted it!! So far I have worn it twice and it just goes with everything, even if it is a bright red colour.

Since last week I have been on the hunt for the perfect sewing machine and classes to learn how to use it once I get it haha and so far this is at the top of my wish list. Its just too perfect for words. Before you know it I will be whipping up more headbands and altering my dresses!!

I will be heading to the We heart vintage sale on Saturday I haven’t been to this one before and its just down the road from me so ill be snapping away on my camera and showing you all the goodies im sure ill find over the weekend here is a little interview of the ladies behind it on the Winifred and Bance website if you want to have a snoop..

I also found this cute little skirt thrifting last week and I have the urge to take it up a few lengths (I think it would be so much cuter just a tad shorter) it has sea shells printed all over it (gasp..too cute) and on Sunday I made some double layer cupcakes.. after cursing my oven for having weird settings and making them rise wrong grrr I decided id just make the best of what I had..im so determined to get it right next time.. even with a dodgy oven!!!

I did an outfit re-creation this morning of the outfit i wore to bowling and beers last night :) after a few drinks my photos were starting to get blurry but i managed to salvage a few from the night!!! it was so much fun our group basically took up the whole bowling alley.. i felt like a little kid again all that was missing was the hamburger and chips meal your mum would get for you...hahaha i cant remember the last time i went.. i was so close to stealing the shoes i loved them haha...

So i lost...didnt even make it to 100..terrible..terrible and then lost again at a vivious game of air hockey.. i had no luck :)

I found this gorgeous little 1970's dress while thrifting last week and hadn't had the chance to wear it yet..and then i was like..hello!!! perfect for bowling.. it was long enough to bend over without flashing my knickers to everyone, but i still needed a belt to cinch it in (i swear the ladies in the 50's to the 70's were super tiny...)

So now im going to spend the day doing classic Sunday things like Washing, cleaning and relaxing ahhh..who wants to come over and help me with my washing...haha have a good sunday everyone XX
