Strawberry Cheesecake

So today was spent eating Strawberry cheesecake & drinking coffee with my mum in Kalamunda a gorgeous little suburb outside of the city, i always feel so relaxed after a few hours there!!!
After cake & coffee we went for a walk to the park and sat under a tree for a few hours so nice :)

Now im off to the football with my girlies and a drink later on too!!!

After the midnight hour

So im sitting in bed writing this post now so i can upload it tomorrow (talk about being prepared) it is literally 42 degrees at the moment.. and there is no way im going to be able to sleep in this stifling heat ahhhh!!!! i will be so thankful for just the teeniest bit of breeze....

When i was taking these photos today my roomie burst in on me mid pose, i actually dont mind making an idiot of myself as i dont have a remote i literally just push the button and run and pose... i have only been living with beth and jess for 6ish months(after living with my bestie jazz for 6 years before) and i was weary on letting them see this unusual side of me haha, but im happy to say im guessing they are used to it now...i need to find a buddy to take pics of me so i can get some more outdoorsish shots...

Im definately a girly girl, i love lace, florals & soft neutral tones... and when i saw this Wish shirt in a catalogue i literally scoured the city until i found one, its such a romantic shirt that can be paired to be pretty or grunged up too.. whenever i wear it i feel like ive stepped out of a victorian novel...

Im so excited for Saturday morning my mum is in town she works in the country as a teacher so i dont get to see her much but were going for coffee and cake..will be so good to catch up!!!

I have been looking at all the winter boots coming in..thats one thing i love about winter is the BOOTS!!!!!!!!! already got my eye on a pair of Mollini thigh high black suede boots that are so amazing.......i already have so many pairs but i cant get enough haha

Okay im going to attempt to sleep now, im playing re-runs of the office to pass the time!!!! mayb ill try counting sheep...one...two....three...

Pretty prints and springtime fancies

1 x dress three ways...i guess you would call it, this dress is so old i bought it well over three years ago but i still think its the cutest flower print i have worn it these three ways before but i think that the dress on its own option isnt as nice or mayby thats because i love love love to layer!!!! so i know im still dressing like its spring...damn and its till summer here... what can i say i love spring!!!

This week has been a mad rush of work, coffee dates, thrift shopping and gym training sessions (and after looking at my legs in socks...ahhh im going to put more hours in!!! haha) wheww im exhausted already!!!! im so looking forward to a quiet weekend :)

Im so lusting after a peach coloured lisa Ho dress i saw on my way to work i cant get it out of my mind.....i might go try it on...just to see if it fits haha im not taking any credit cards with me or i think i might have a brain relapse and walk out with it!!!!!!!

Okay i watched "The last kiss" over the weekend and i cannot get this song out of my head!!!! ahhhhhhhhhh....... (how old school is snow patrol haha always reminds me of Grey's Anatomy)







Well all i can say is that the wedding was amazing, it was like a big school reunion and i drank wine and danced all night :) Here is where the ceremony was it dosent look like it but just behind me was a massive group of people standing :) it almost started to rain a little bit but it held off thank goodness (sigh) arne't weddings so magical!!!!

So this striped shirt is the one i was telling you about not long ago, the sleeves are amazing, it's definately a winter piece but i couldnt resist wearing it... i had imagined wearing it with some lighter almost charcoal coloured jeans and a black blazer... but because its still so hot i went for the checkered vest and black jeans and booties...(i guess its not that much cooler but oh well)

Now im off to get a chai latte and start my day!!!!

She wore white

One sunny Saturday (well this sunny Saturday) im off to my friends Rain & Craig's wedding :) its the first girl from our group in High School to get hitched and im super excited for her, the ceremony is on the beach followed by canape's and drinks in her fathers mansion right on the beach, its going to be so beautiful!!!! It is a bit of a drive though a good hour or so out of the city and im driving so not too many champers for me....i love a good road trip.

So this is the dress i was telling you about im not sure if the length is wedding appropriate but i am so in love with the rouged sleeves and cute little horse belt and the masses of colour!!!! i couldnt go past it!!!

P.S - i havent done my makeup yet...if your wondering hahaha

Lost in time

Today i had such a sucessful shopping day, sometimes i can never find anything when im op-shopping and leave annoyed and frustrated after hours of sifting and shoving every piece of clothing aside, but today i walked in and down each isle found some gorgeous things and tadaa they all fit!!! so i left with these amazing Juilee Jones vintage high waisted 3/4 pants, a white collar & sleeve blue striped shirt (which i will debut soon im sure) this leaopard puff sleeve shirt and floppy hat!!!its rediculous how shopping makes you feel SO good... hahaha

Anyway the wedding is on Saturday and i picked up the gorgeous dress im wearing...so cute!!! and then off to do the usual things like get my hair did and all that!!!! im normally a pretty pasty girl..i dont usually mind but after realising the dress i bought washes me out even more i thought id get some fake tan and see what happend...i mean what could possibly go wrong???

Well.....im a little orange!!!!!!! eeeeeeeekkkk this is exactly why i dont bother with this stuff!!!!!! so now on top of the orangeness i also smell like musty vanilla...fantastic!!!! hahaha please please remind me never to do this again!!!! im quite happy being white!!!!

So off to dinner at my sisters tonight and then to watch Valentines day with my roomies after that!!!

Sunkissed Bliss

How gorgeous was the weather on Sunday!!! it was so sunny and it was impossible to not be in love with life :) so i went down to the little park near my house and lazed around in the sun for awhile..after rolling around in too much itchy grass i went home and cleaned...(i know so exciting) and then me and the roomies had a BBQ it was the perfect Sunday!!!

(by the way the dinner on Saturday night turned out fabulous and i didnt burn the house down either id say thats a big deal haha!!!!! how was all your V day celebrations????????)

I love this chocolate colour vest i found it wedged between some mens pants at the op-shop i love it when that happens!!! worn with a vintage navy blue and brown checkered Cravat, vintage brown belt, white French Connection dress & brown Hobbs boots.

Local Natives

I have a current obsession with the band Local Natives at the moment not only are they all so handsome, (sigh) their voices are like pure honey :) you have to look them up...seriously!!!!

I am planning a V day dinner tonight for me and my flatmate we are pretty much the only single girls in our group and instead of feeling sorry for ourselves im (going to attempt) cooking us a feast having wine and celebrating Single Awareness day hahaha lets see if the house survives!!!....what are your plans for V day??? something terribly romantic??

What is with me and my neutral colours lately, i usually have some sort of colour on me..anyway.... the cream puff top i have on is actually a dress :) but its a slinkyish material so i can cram it into jeans and make a pretty top out of it as well!!!!! i love it i feel so ladylike in it....i also handmade the black bow in my hair as well..ive never been so proud i can actually sew can u believe it!!!

A little peek

You dont probably know much about me im sure!!! so i thought i would do a little about me post...(how self indulgent of me) so heres five little fun facts... :)

1. Im a full time Jewellery Photographer..and i usually have my camera with me on most occasions, i especially love the vintage raw style and macro!!
2. I have never travelled out of Australia...(i know your all shouting WHAT thats impossible...but yup i havent...but all that will change when i go to Bali in July woohoo!!!)
3. One of my dreams is to open up a little vintage boutique one day & travel to Alaska to see the northern lights!!!!
4. I cant cook...although im mostly skilled at cooking a potato in the microwave and boiling a pan of water..pretty sad i know but i swear its the ovens fault most of the time...
5. I have two tattoo's one on my wrist of the two birds in flight which me and my best friend/sister got together to symbolize us and the journey we have had together and the other one on my ribcage says 'Abbracciare il viaggio' which means 'Embrace the journey' in italian (as im half Italian)

Basically Basics

Well with this outfit it was back to basics i love monotone pieces you can mix and match so easily with practically ANYTHING (but you all know that hehe) and i also pulled out the good old pink lippy i was over red...forgot how cute pink is!!!!

This week has been spent running around like a headless chook looking for a dress to wear to my friends wedding next week (i think i mat have found it) so fingers crossed i can scrum up the money to get it!! im so terrible with money...i cant budget...i just cant...trust me....ive tried!!!!
and also my lovely lovely friend Liv is taking me out on a date tomorrow night haha how sad is it that i cant actually get a real man to take me on a date my friends have to take pitty on me and take me out (truthfully i love my girly dates...no extras expected after the date is done hahahahahahahaha) so shes taking me for coffee and cake and mayb a nighttime stroll!!!!!!!!

So tonight im off to the movies and dinner with my bestie Jazz not sure what were seeing yet but its cheap ass Tuesday so who cares!!!!!! :)

Florence

This was my outfit for St Jeromes Laneway festival yesterday it was one of the best festivals weve had this year i think anyway!! I fell completely in love with Whitley and would run away and elope with him and his sexy sexy voice any day, Mumford and Sons were so fun i almost broke my ankle jumping around in the dance pit :) managed to catch a little bit of The XX and then by far the most amazing of the night was Florence and the machine she blew my freaking mind she had a rocking blue one piece on with lace wings/arm thingys and the most killer silver stilettos i have ever seen her voice was even better live, best part was watching her launch herself into the croud after climbing the scaffold man i love her!!!!!

So how cute are my little 3/4 pants i was in a mass panic to find an outfit and pretty much ransacked the op-shop trying to fing a silk long sleeve top and instead found these :) they are super comfortable and i felt all day like i had just stepped out of Grease haha
