This is the first day of my life, im glad i didnt die before i met you..

Oh my gosh if your looking at my pics and thinking uh oh she looks exhausted...well your right!!!! (yawn) i have had a cold for the past few days and it totally threw me...(a cold in the middle of summer WHAT THE???) so im sorry for my dismal face :( i have had the most relaxing weekend its been great just reading my book and watching 'How i met your mother' re-runs...

ok...im sure some of you will shoot me after saying this but i cant wait for autumn/winter im definately a layering girl and most of the staples in my wardrobe are for layering!!!! dont get me wrong i love summer but there is only so many simple dresses i can wear before i get completely bored....cant wait to throw on some gorgeous tights or pants & give some attention to my blazers!!!!!

I love this wallpaper(ish) print Greg Sernack vintage blazer even though i removed the shoulder pads its still got some height to it, (the shoulder pads were huge haha)!!!! worn with mesh black cocktail dress black Target tights and Tony Bianco Pumps...

Grandma pleats and polker dots

This is my usual lazy sunday outfit :) Grandma pleated skirts are the comfiest ever!!!!! you can basically sit or lounge around anywhere and still manage to look like a lady :) love it!!!!!

Well its Australia Day tomorrow so for all you Aussie's out there HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY...soooo tomorrow im going to a friends house for a massive BBQ and some pool and slip 'n' slide antics then to go watch the fireworks should be fun!!!!

For the life of me i cant remember which blog i saw this on but she was blogging about hand written letters and how its become pretty much unheard of now days for people to basically just send a little note in the mail..shes so right!!!! i miss mail!!!!!.....so im going to get writing i think!!!!

We should be living like we lived in the summer..

Isn't yellow the most euphoric colour!!!!! i bought this dress for my birthday last year but i didnt end up wearing it... its one of those dresses that makes you feel so pretty and girly :)

So i wasnt going to do an upload this weekend because its super busy but i managed to snag a minute or so to quickly do one!!! ohhhh DJ Yoda was pretty good last night im not a big DJ fan but it was good to go for a drink and dance with the girls...not that there was much room to move on the dancefloor... it was more like we were jumping up and down on the same spot the whole time haha...

So tonight is my friends hens night!!! woohoo im super excited its a little black dress party..im wearing a mesh dress its really cute ill be sure to upload a pic!!!

Dreaming of a sunset in the wheat fields

Thought id show you the cutest thing i found today at my local vintage shop (Lucy in disguise) its an old Max Factor makeup bag thats been redesigned as a handbag i love it (i think its my favourite piece i have found so far) & im starting to get an obsession with little suitcase purses..

Im in full preperation for the weekend which is completely chocker block full!!!!! Friday im getting dragged to go see a DJ in the city and then a hen's night on Saturday (little bit weary i have never gone to one...and ive heard the stories :) and then lunching with my ladies on Sunday!!!! so by Monday i will be officially pooped i reckon....

I have been wanting to plan a little vintage shopping roadtrip to rummage through all the small towns shops along the hills in WA i think it will take me one full weekend....im sure with many many adventures on the way....im going to get planning!!!!!!!!

If you are looking at the photographs and wondering why my face is a fantastic shade of red is because my room is almost as hot as a sauna ahhhh im so tired of this hot weather (and im sure as most of you are all in the middle of winter) you are thinking im a whinging idiot but....this is the third day of 45 degree heat...

Anyway enough of me whinging i love this outfit makes me feel so summery and like a mix of delicious icecreams!!! (my favourite icecream is spearmint choc chip by the way) i found this gorgeous pencil skirt yesterday its really light fabric and sucks in all the jiggly bits haha

We Are Handsome

Wanted to start this blog with an introduction to Australian label We Are Handsome which is a collaboration between Oscar & Elvis and People like us who make incredible bathers, they have released their 2009/2010 collection of handmade retro designed full piece bathers (which is only made to order) ahhh they are incredible this one is my favourite and im seriously thinking of putting my order in...although im a bit weary of finally getting a full piece i hope i could pull it off!!!!

Broke out the highwaisted jeans..id have to say that the thought of squeezing myself into these after christmas was so daunting but i sucked it up (or sucked it in) and id have to say i think i didnt put on too much weight (wheww) :) although i didnt attempt sitting down straight away haha!!!!

The blouse is an opshop find its quite thin so i can bear to wear it in the heat were having lately honestly its rediculously hot!!! although IM BOOKED for Bali sooo this is the view i will be looking at very very soon!!! jealous???

Well this gorgeous dress was one of the opshop pieces i managed to snag on the weekend and i wore it to lunch with my aunty on Sunday at a gorgeous little cafe, it was surprisingly cold and i love the cold (it means i can break out my blazers)....

Super excited, i am hopefully booking a trip to Bali tomorrow for a week or so with some friends, i have never been (which is unheard of in Australia) but i have heard its so beautiful and just a massively big party day in an day out, so in July i will be sitting by the pool with a huge cocktail in my hand :)

I have started a new book Edge of Eden by John Steinbeck and im completely in love with it already suggested by this pretty lady's book list i highly recommend it (but will give a proper referral once im done im sure :) do u guys recommend any books i should read this year and i promise i will try and read them (you know as part of my new years resolution :)

Sooo i just got home from a massive dinner with my girlfriends, im always so predictable when i order either carbonara or Parmigana, ahhh i need to start trying new things...

Thought id upload a few snippets of my Saturday so far, after a massive sleep in i went op-shopping this morning and got so many gorgeous pieces i cant wait to show you them all... then i came home and made myself a cup of tea and sat on my balcony n read Tennyson i love his poetical works so much you should check him out if you havent already!!!
Just watching Beetlejuice whilst im doing this upload i forgot how awesome it is..

hmm hmm...have been singing this song all week....gah i hate it when that happens!!!! well its about 11am and i cant sleep (hence the bedroom photoshoot and blog update) because its about 50 degrees and every movement i make i can feel im getting hotter and hotter ahhhh my tiny little fan is doing absolutely nothing!!!!! so if in the first pic i look tired well thats because i havent slept in like three days, im hanging out for a little bit of cooler weather!!!! weve also been having the worst bushfires and we have a inner city warning tomorrow so hopefully no one else looses their houses :(

On a lighter note i wanted to show you my gramophone isnt he beautiful i love the old groaning tones it makes when you play it although turning the handle every 2 min gets a bit boring after awhile...

Happy New Year everyone... i hope you all had a fab day and countdown into the new year i cant believe its 2010 already!!!!! i went to a hawaiian party and drank cocktails all night which then meant the next day i pretty much slept by the pool all morning :)
